Mmmmmmm!

Today marked 2 weeks since we started feeding Ella "solid" foods - and she is a champ! When she gets strapped into the high-chair, she knows what is about to transpire. When the tray clicks into place, her eyes light up in anticipation. When she sees that spoon...she does what is illustrated above - her tongue shoots out of her mouth and she is ready for action. For more on this developing story...see the footage embedded below. :)

It is so nice to see Ella enjoying eating her food. Time has gone by and she has grown so fast. Before we know it it will be her first birthday. She is really a beautiful baby !!

Is Ella always that tranquil while eating? Emily hasn't started on solids yet, but I imagine she'll be too busy "talking" to let us get near her with that spoon. Unless the food is especially yummy. What are you feeding her?

She is very tranquil while eating so far...like I said, if she is anything like me, she won't let anything get in the way of food getting down her throat. When she sees that spoon coming towards her, her mouth opens and that tongue jets out with unbelievable speed...as you can see in the video! She is currently on a regime of cereal (either rice, oatmeal or barley, 2ish tablespoons dry thickened with momma-milk) twice a day and fruit three times a day, along with straight-up milk upon waking up, with each meal, and before bed. Next month....on to veggies and meat!
